Go to a Holden dealer, give them your VIN, so they can give you the correct version for your car.
There were a few revisions over the years...
Complex little buggers...

Yep, when I replaced mine in my 07 WM, I had to replace the cables too. The old ones were too long.

I had exactly the same problem, I searched eBay, but asking to much,
I got one from the Wreckers, for $40, if it fails with in 12months or 20,000k as per allegedly GM's spare parts warranty, I'm still in front
Considering it only took 1/2 hour to replace.
Well that was 60k's, and 2 years ago and hasn't failed since.
Keeping in mind, If you purchased a new one, "GM's Warranty is only valid of THEY install it", at a over inflated cost.

The revisions were to change the potted micro switch to a more reliable version.

Cheers guys. Ended up ordering the part from australian online carparts. Mainly because they were the most helpful and the 2nd to get back to my online enquiry (the first was actually a Holden dealer, but was more expensive).

Though in hindsight, I might have just got it from a dealer to forgo shipping. My parcel was on a train that got derailed so wasn't even sure if I'd get it.

That said, got it today. Took 20min to install and it's all working again. Just in time since for the past few days the latch flicking technique didn't work at all.

If anyone else finds this thread looking for an answer, these are two posts I learnt from that I got from this site.

ACL would say otherwise.

I did ask the question at Brighton Holden, and that's what they said,
"Warranty is only valid if their Technicians Install it" as I am not an authorised GM Technician, Dealer/installer,
So hence I went looking at a wreckers, as mentioned, hasn't failed yet, and when it does,
I am still in front for the cost of a S/H one, compared with the cost of the new one,
+ inc $90 p/h for an apprentice to install it, and without the car for a day,
so its a lost of wages as I am self employed.
PS: I have one on the shelf at home ready to go, as I was at the wreckers a couple of weeks ago, and removed it, then shelved it.
