Sitting vertical in the thermostat housing.

It is a gun drilled screw, so you only need to screw it out past the pilot hole.

It will make a mess.

Thanks for that, I was pretty sure that's where it was but wanted to check before I took all the plastic covers off.

If it's supercharged its actually got 3 bleed screws from memory. 2 at the front and 1 at the back of the supercharger.

vs acclaim II
might be quite a daft question but i'm not much of a mechanic.... i have just replaced the top hose on my vs acclaim 1997 (radiator) and filled it all up again. running fine and fan kicks in at about 2/3 up the heat gauge and brings it to about half. do i need to bleed the system now though? and if so do i just get it idling and slowly undo the screw on top of where the top pipe meets the engine?? will it just fart a bit if theres air in their?? how do i know when it's done?? thanks j
