Hey mate

There is no fuse for the power windows, its a circuit breaker, its the bigish silver metal one in amoungst the fuses, i thinks in fuse #5. also the relay is a half size one, and its location i cant remember, have a look on the fuse cover you flip down under ur column there should be a complete listing of fuse locations and what each fuse is.

whats happening with ur power windows?

Found it.
I have a short somewhere. Fuse is getting hot.
The windows have been occasionally not working.
No lights on switches at night, wont work sometimes. Leave it for 5 mins & all is good again. Until today.
I turned the ignit on this morning, window went half down & stopped. Now nothing works. And it looks like rain!
Just my luck.

There is something humming behind the p/s rear wheel when the ignit is turned on.
It stays on for 60 sec then stops.
Too long to be the fuel pump.
Any ideas?

The circuit breaker could be on its way out. i think its $16 from holden.. i bought one bout a year ago so its a lil vage.

if the sound is goin for about 60 sec, it could be your auto levelling compressor pumping up the shocks.. i think most of hte caprice's had auto levelling.

ur best bet is to turn ignition on, open ur boot, and have a listen in the boot, round each of the rear wheels.. apart from auto levelling and fuel pump, theres not much else back there.

Still getting used to the VS.
My VH, VK, VL, VN never had auto level shocks. LOL

Should i try the power seat fuse in the window slot? Same amperage.
