Thanks for the answer , when you say a billet flywheel , does this extra noise come from any solid flywheel behind a getrag ( Billet does that just mean solid )? i ask because the getrag already is known for its whining and i dont know i want that to be any worse lol
Billet basically means it is made from one piece of material. The dual mass has a rubber dampener to help quieten the noise of the box.
It is not a whine as such, more of a rattle. It is usually worse at idle in neutral, when the box is warm.
Mate that looks like a good one, im not sure i would go heavy duty as im not keen on a real heavy clutch, might ask if they do a standard one too, although heavy may be suited better to my supercharged 3.8 ?
The GETRAG uses a hydraulic system to operate the pressure plate, so even when you use a 'heavy duty' setup, the load on the clutch pedal is still reasonably light.
When you say supercharged 3.8 are we talking aftermarket or factory?
