I highly recommend NPC Performance Clutches: Home.

Be aware though, putting a billet flywheel in front of the GETRAG will make the box sound a LOT louder.

Thanks for the answer , when you say a billet flywheel , does this extra noise come from any solid flywheel behind a getrag ( Billet does that just mean solid )? i ask because the getrag already is known for its whining and i dont know i want that to be any worse lol

i recommend
VT VX VY SIX CYLINDER HEAVY DUTY CLUTCH WITH FLYWHEEL (eBay item 220703621115 end time 29-Dec-10 11:49:51 AEDST) : Cars, Bikes, Boats
they will probably also knock the price down a bit if you don't buy through ebay but directly through thier store.

Mate that looks like a good one, im not sure i would go heavy duty as im not keen on a real heavy clutch, might ask if they do a standard one too, although heavy may be suited better to my supercharged 3.8 ?

cheers for the answer mate

Billet basically means it is made from one piece of material. The dual mass has a rubber dampener to help quieten the noise of the box.
It is not a whine as such, more of a rattle. It is usually worse at idle in neutral, when the box is warm.

The GETRAG uses a hydraulic system to operate the pressure plate, so even when you use a 'heavy duty' setup, the load on the clutch pedal is still reasonably light.

When you say supercharged 3.8 are we talking aftermarket or factory?

its just the factory supercharger. the engine is from a 3.8 statesman

just how bad is this extra noise? is it worth worrying about?

thanks
