So, I'm 17 and 18 in 9 months and I'm looking for a car. I'm leaning towards a VU ute. But, carsales has none that I'm after and I've been checking frequently for about 2 months.

I'm looking for one with low kms (<200,000) obviously, wich is sort of hard to find and it needs to be an auto. Other than those anything else is fine. Price range is 7,500- 8,000.

Does anyone know any other places just as good as carsales or any other places?

It's damn hard to find a vu with low kms for that price.

Any help is appreciated, cheers.

On carsales they have it under a stupid bit, it's under Holden > Ute not Commodore, and VU has a different option i think.

Ah yeh I see.
Just did a search. **** all here in Victoria. Doesn't look to good.
97 vs compared to a VU got much of a difference?
If I can't find a decent vu I might go for a vs

It isn't possible to get a vu ute for 8 grand, let alone one with lower k's. I too was looking for one wen I was 18 last year, and your right none are around.

Hmm shatterd.
97 VS's any good? or should i just save all the trouble and get a VT with the money?

I just realy like the utes, they would come in handy more times than i could count as well.

EBay = $7-$8k VU's.. just make sure you check it out first.

Check QLD and stuff aswell man, heaps cheaper up there, you can just drive it back down, sure it's $300 in fuel/food but it's $3000+ in savings usually.

true mate. but then theres the issue of gettin up there.

true mate. but then theres the issue of gettin up there.

$180 flight one way? $100 max taxi ride? It's all do-able, the only thing is you gotta talk to the owner by phone, get EVERYTHING you can outta him, more pics on every angle of every single thing and if luckily a video of it running.

I'm telling you now VU/VY utes in QLD are sooo common and cheap lol.

Look on EBay first though. I saw a VU SS last week sell for $7,500 in mint cond. and that's an SS.

Keep your eye out buddy.
