where to put amp?

i've just hooked up an amp and kicker sub in my boot. But wheres the best place to mount the amp? preferably in the boot

mount it to the sub box. easy to uninstall

Yep I agree, if you can mount it to the sub box id mount it there.

but a tip. dont drill the holes right through other wise if you change amps. you will have holes there for the air to escape. it will sound dodgy.

ive heard that the bass can wreck a sub if it's right in front or mounted to the box as it rattles component's loose or something correct if ive been told a porky as i had the same idea of mounting it to the box

mounting to the enclosure will reduce the life of the amp. the excessive vibration will increase the risk of components failing.

also it makes it MUCH more easy to nick it all. kinda like 2 for the effort of one really.......

my mate had his system stolen the even took the whole wiring kit right through to the battery! he laughed and said "dick heads why didnt they take the whole car the key's are still in the ignition" lmao
but yes he had the amp screwed to the box
