Hi,

Putting some splits in my VZ ute and was just wondering where i should put the crossovers? They are quite big (Alpine Type X).

Also what is the max distances i can put them away from the speaker/tweeters?

Thanks

I'm assuming your VZ would be the same as my VY, although I don't know how big is "quite big".

I recently put in crossovers for Jaycar splits.

I put one behind the glove box (take off your glove box lid and stick your head under - you'll see sorta like a shelf thing with not much on it). I used two big cable ties wrapped around it, since it was moving around.

I put the other on top of the gearbox tunnel behind the dash. Again, once you have some of your trim off, you'll see that there's a bit of room under there.

Hope this helps!

any place where theres no water really. so almost anywhere under the dash theres a thing to cable tie, screw or tape the x-over to.

If you remove the panel on the side of the dash there is a small pocket with wires running down it, against the body of the cat that can fit the cross overs in nicely. This is where mine are mounted and i've had no problems.
