VS L67 Ute, VX SS
Finally after all this time im getting the motor put into the ute
I have a VX L67 Motor and Auto which im putting into a VS ute
I wondering if i should keep the original auto and swap the converters or swap the complete motor and box from the VX?

Reason i ask is im getting conflicting reports as to the headache involved in the change over.
I told the exhaust won't fit on one side and the wiring might cause issues with the new box.

Im getting new extractors and system but not for another 2 months, so i was hoping to keep the original exhaust for the time being.

Is there an advantage to having the VX Auto over the original VS Auto?
I will be putting a Stage2 Shift Kit in down the track as well.

Thanks Phill

Hi Phill,

You are correct that this newer trans will not fit without having to cut away sections of the casting with the original exhaust being used.

I think you'll find that using the original trans will give you far less headaches in the long term.
