Which gasket sealant is good

Yeah it's a 3 Litre V8 that leaks oil. Now I know why!

Wasn't The Stag made by Triumph ?
They were a mongrel to work on, especially if you have big hands.
But went well for a little V8.

Correct. They were making Alloy block V8 in the 60s with overdrive and IRS. Still not my thing though. I guess you had to be there

Ever heard of "Stag" ??? it was around way before Permatex.

I use stag on welsh plugs......Otherwise fro normal gasket sealing purposes I use a RTV sealant

Stag is a different product. Stag was made for sealing bolts not as a paper gasket replacement.

That's is correct, We used it in the workshop in the mid 70's when we did Head Gaskets to seal the bolts that went into the oil and water jackets.

However, that was the slang we used for all of the Gasket Sealants
