Doesn't seem like you guys have heared a Ford V8, all of them are clearly excellent sounding, almost as good as a 304

i voted ls1 as i have one :D but your right, you can't beat the sound of a efi 304, even standard they've got that beefy v8 grumble, throw an exhaust on and they sound awesome with a better looking engine, cleaner with the covers on, but the ls1 more power with little mods, sound a bit quiet but a cam and exhaust and they sound like a real v8 with plenty of power, do love the efi304 but ls1 for me.

LS1 always wanted one=< They'll never be cheap enough for me to buy thow

When 5 litre tunes run out I'm buying a old crusty WH to experiment on, pull all the fat out of it, do some racing and do 100 dollar ecu changovers:p. But wont be for a while yet and you can get them for like 7-8 grand allready

Injected 5L just because it sounds like a real v8 should, even if it isn't as powerful as an ls engine

Sorry, still not convinced. I've heard plenty in the flesh, and find the Holden's have a nice warm meaty sound, whereas Ford's tend to sound like a bag of angry squirrels :)

V8 6spd wif MOMO leavaa.
best sounding V8 is an old school bigblock with a blower!, to me my Ls1 isnt what a V8 should sound like, too refined just something missing, ford V8's sounds a lot better unfortunately. i wish i could get my LS1 to sound like a injected 5lt, without spendin thousands to do it.

BTW, didnt vote coz i like all of them, all have pros, all have cons.

vx s
for noise and sound old 5litre , but in that right there is it all OLD
give me new anyday better by far pitty bout the sound but then again ive had noisey cars and to have real power and be silent is harder than having power and being noisey .
i went to my vx from a noisey jappa to get away from having a noisey cop bait of a car.
so i happily drive around with my standard car with just one muffler removed to give it that slight rumble.
