Never said they did, just curious as to which one people would prefer owning as I'll be in the market for either one someday. Even if I had the money I wouldn't get an R8 or Gallardo as I don't like how they look, but if it was an Aventador or Ferrari F12 then definitely. If money was no issue then I'll take a Koenigsegg One.
c63 hands down. but, in all honesty id go for the wagon variant. practicality for the week. and fun for the weekend. love the sound they make.
Absolutely awesome thing happened today. Turned into the Homemaker centre in Fortitude Valley today, and whats ahead of me in the car park? A nice Audi R8. While I choose the Lambo, I don't disagree that the Audi is a beautiful machine. Though I really had to restrain myself from yelling out "Should have got a Gallardo!". When I told my female passanger about this thread and what I wanted to yell out, she started using strong phrases like "If you do..." and "sack-whack you". I restrained.
Lambo, hands down. Always loved a Lambo, love the designs etc and as a kid had a poster on the bedroom wall etc. Whilst may be better cars out there, Lambo for me.
I'd get the Audi, might not look as good but would be easier to drive/park/whatever. Used to see a V8 one go thundering up Adelaide St every afternoon - something about the German V8's that sound so good. The 959 is ugly as sin, but a 0-100 time in the 3's and the amount of technology in that car back in the 80's is no laughing matter.
A friend has a 2008 C63 for a company car, I can tell you that it gets looks, but that is likely as it is usually sideways at warp speed trying to kill its occupants.
lambos scream "DOUCHBAG" i see a lambo on the road i think 'ill bet that owner is a fk wit" audi without a doubt.
It's for that reason if I'm honest , I'd have a Aston Martin or a Jaguar , for me Audi screams cockis in extremis .
But has anyone driven a lambo or Audi? I've driven an older lambo an OLD one and for it's age I couldn't fault it, but I was only slashing so I didn't get it up to it's top speed of 40 k's an hour. Haha.
porsche for me. an old 1973 RSR. prolly end up costing about the same amount :s edit* nup. looks like you can get a gallardo for under 200k USD. guess the porsche is more expensive
Yes but Commodore screams bogan hoon, but I still own one. I say, let the haters hate, while I'm rolling around in a Lambo the exact number of ####s given to their opinion would be zero
Whilst I realise Porsche has always built possibly the best handling car and overall performance, they still look like a glorified beetle. And with the exception of the few V8's Porsche has made, the engine sounds like a sheet of tin being dragged along the bitumen....... When there's a Porsche amongst the traffic, it doesn't really stand out. See a Lambo or a Ferrari and it stands out like dogs balls and the engine note just screams supercar. Everyones head spin as it goes past, whereas a Porsche is more 'meh....' Go out to watch racing at the track and the majority of the crowd walks away for food or a piss break when the Porsche Cup cars come on. I think most people would love to drive one (me included), but they aren't an exciting car to look at or listen to... Personal preference of course, I certainly don't discount that there are plenty of people like yourself who do consider them a standout car.
but fair dinkum.... who is going to buy a Audi R8 or Lambo for practicality/streetability reasons lol
