Here's a couple of quick photos of another build I did the other day for a friend at work. A thread with more info and pics can be found here on overclock.net.
Criteria:
System specs:
This is the first socket FM2 build I have done. I chose the AMD platform primarily to keep costs down, and it seems like an impressive system so far considering there's no dGPU in sight. Instead of opting for a cheap graphics card, we chose to keep it without one to eliminate wastage further down the track. If in a few months he wants to add a 7850 or something he will end up with what I'd consider to be a neat little entry-level gamer.
Criteria:
- Home/business PC
- Upgradeable mid tower
- Quiet / unobtrusive
- Sub $1000 budget
System specs:
- NZXT Phantom 410, white
- Gigabyte F2A88XM-D3H
- A8 5600K
- CoolerMaster Hyper T4 cooler
- 2x4GB G.Skill Ripjaws X (F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL)
- Corsair VS450 PSU
- 2TB 7200RPM Toshiba HDD
- Windows 8
