VF Ute MY14 (White)
Gday everyone,

Just got my new 2014 VF Ute (White). Image attached.

Pretty happy with it all but was thinking about changing the wheels, to something black.

Currently fitted with Series 2 VE set which are in great condition.

I was looking into the whole powder coat option (as it is cheaper), strip them right back, and give them a new life in black.

Please share your opinions on doing this, especially on the same set.

Thanks in advanced!

Tom

My opinion should have absolutely no effect on your choice! :)

Think the black wheel trend is just about over.

Will prolly be back again in about 15 years ... is this a 15yr purchase?

A metallic dark grey, with a finish not unlike the Seppo SS, has a similar quick-glance look to black wheels, except the fact that tyres are grey & not black means it looks a bit less crap (IMHO at least).

Black wheels on a white car look good when your next to the car but when looking at a distance it appears that the car has no wheels.

I'm thinking the black wheels with blackout kit has been done by now.
I'm thinking of replacing my VF2 redline rims with something silver.
I'm leaving the chrome kit on too.
