I heard a urban myth maybe a decade ago that "X" fuel was the better of what was around. So for maybe 5 of those years I used "X" all the time, then I just got sucked into "the shopping voucher discount" and just stuck to that, just getting their 98.
Anyway what do you do? Is it based on any info you'd like to share with the class.
Anyone who works in a performance shop that has done their own testing, how you came to your conclusions.
Remember this is just 98 RON fuel.

I've always seen BP as the best and United 2nd best.

7-11 uses Mobil fuel fwiw. Been running it for ~3 years not a single issue. I used to get the occasional iffy batch of BP ultimate where I'd get light pinging under heavy load and haven't had dramas since switching. 7-11 is consistently cheapest around here for premium as well.

Stay away from the little independents, they have the most quality issues with fuel (probably dirty/poorly sealed tanks).

Used to be dedicated to United, then they ripped out public dunnies and now charge 30% more than Caltex for flex fuel.
Caltex flex is definitely best BFYB in VEII or VF V8 @ around $1. You never miss your water til the well runs dry.
