Obviously there is no limit to corporate greed. Is Photobucket connected to Google in any way?

.. no, the original guys who set up PB sold out to another company
who decided they could get their money back VERY quickly by raping everyone who
had joined up on a free account and charging them USD$600 a year (has now dropped to USD$40 a month still exxie)

the amount of flack they are copping and not only from people like us.. BUT ALSO EBay Gumtree and Google!
People's listing on eBay are all up the ****... and sellers are making it known to eBay

I have pulled all my albums off PB, deleted my account and in the little box that asks for a reason
for deleting my account.. I gave them a real serve about...no notice of the change ( AFTER they made the change,
I got an email DEMAND for USD$600.. basically extortion), a total and basic lack of any sort of customer service and
I hoped they went broke and had to sleep on the streets with the homeless!

imgur is looking good in my opinion as a replacement

I switched to Imgur a while back.
I believe it was Imageshack that done something similar tng upload o what PB are currently doing, I lost many pictures from their greed.
PB was turning into a headache trying to upload and it failing half the time.

Have had a number of reports where photobucket is used and images no longer available.

If you do come across threads with the said images hosted on photobucket by all means report them and I’ll take a look at hosting them directly on JC.

Apart from the thread starter relinking / loading all of their images, how would you go about it Darren ? There must be thousands and thousands of images on JC alone effected.

I would love to say I have one heck of an easy solution but I am not aware of one.

It needs to be one by one at this stage.

Just sorted out that thread well that page, I am sure there will be plenty but if you do raise some please have some patience
