You're all forgetting these cars are sold over in towelhead land as Chevrolet Luminas, coming out of the showroom wearing Chev badges, and have been since the VT.

The chev badges and grilles are produced for these cars, they arent tacked on from another car.

While Im aware we are in Australia, you can blame Holden for putting ridiculously oversized badges on, thats my reason for swapping to the more subtle Chev badge. It looks much better and with mine colour coded to my paint they are nice and discreet.

Id be happy to go completely badgeless but the holes behind the badges prevent this option.

As for whether they are GM or Chev engines they are essentially the same company so it's a pointless arguement.

the reason behind the chev badge is cos of the LS motor..
alot of people seem to think their hole car is a chev
If it's an E series and it's not a HSV it's not even an LSx engine. Just my 2 cents...

Regardless of the reasons behind it, the engine you've got in it, its a Holden.

I have to say when i got my car I didn't like the Chev badge but it's grown on me and now its a permanent part of the car.
And a pic of my wheels in black (sorry about the quality)!

I think they're from Brazil or Mexico.

People whine about stupid **** way to often.

Chev badges are an owners choice, just like putting on a stupid ugly set of wheels that everyone hates.
Stop whining about what other people are doing... Focus your brain power on trying to do something creative instead of pissing and moaning on a forum.

I wonder how many HT Brougham owners wanted chevy badges as they had a 307 Chevy motor, lol. I just saw the Cruise For Charity 7 DVD and the majority of the cars had Chevy badges on them. Surely 1200 wrongs make a right! The cops can use the chevy badge to identy commodore owners who have made mods to their car? lol BTW: The guys on the Ford forum are tearing Commodore owners apart for what they think is an identity chrisis. My 2 cents.....the chevy badge is way more cooler than the giant chrome lion which also adorned barinas, cruise's, frontera's, camira's and some other great (tongue in check) models Holden put there logo on over the years. I buy a V8, I spend bucks on exhaust systems and a re-tune why not let the average Aussie know it is 'chevy' tough.
