It makes for a hotter fire, when you want to burn it to the ground...
It runs nicer on 98 & seems to have more torque down low ,gets way more out of a tank too.
It's big block 1.6 auto..when working drive it everyday in Shitney peakhour traffic...if got a day off or rostered week off I'll drive vp ute everywhere & Getz will sit for a week or two untouched lol
First got it be lucky to get 350-400km per tank on junk fuel...slowly messed around fixing things it now gets 500-550km per tank mostly suburban driving or stop/start peak hour traffic.
317km ex-pizza delivery car haha
i'm unhappy, this post is still going
Yeah, reckon I'd be "really unhappy" if the above was my vehicle. Yeah reckon if it was mine I'd be still wishing I was driving a V6.....
Quite often people ask me if I am running a V8 in my VC....Just this arvo, a fella asked me "A 308?" My reply was "202".
Yes it has extractors, a 2 1/2" system and a mild cam, but the extra cubes and cylinders it doesn't....So should I be happy or unhappy?
In these days of confused opinions, genders, and life choices, I think you should get some counselling to assist your decision making in whatever is the current socially accepted degree of un/happiness.
That's the problem....Read the thread, or the forum in general, people are saying they are happy with their V8's, yet I am quite happy with my 6.....In fact, I have 8 cars in total, with 6 being 6cyls, 1 V8 and 1 4 cyl and enjoy my 6cyls more than the 4 cyl and V8.....So my idea of being happy obviously varies from the social side of this forum
True....Happy people don't know the difference in the sound of a 6 to an 8 and 2ndly being cheaper to run the 6 compared to the 8 of the same era
Maybe those who need a few extra cubic inches are making up for the missing inches in other areas.....
the old 202's sounded quite nice with a cam
4 inch straight through with no mufflers is pretty sexy, too.
It doesn't matter who or whether anyone else likes it.
It only matters to you ( the owner/user),
Some people love cleaning and working on them , some love just the fact they own them and can sit and stare at them, some love racing them , some love driving occasionally in a spirated manner, some love cruising , some love showing them off, some love not even owning and just talking with owners about their cars
Therefore it only matters if it puts a smile on your dial .
I have two V6 cars put them together and I have a 6.6 litre V12 , yippee
How cute! I'll raise you with my 18.4 litre V24...
I'll see your V24 and raise you with 17.6L V28 (not including spare engines).
but does anyone else have a 700HP VolvoFH with 3150Nm of torque , and a 12 speed auto ,? AKA big Bjorn .
Close....505hp Detroit with an 18 speed road ranger behind it.
What rig is that in, roadrangers are a good transmission and the sound of a Detroit diesel in unmistakable
