hey i have a 93 Vr executive and when the fuel runs down to like empty the light dosnt come on and i was just woundering why
mine doesnt either.....i figured that it was just because my car is lowered and because my car can still run when the needle is below empty :yeah: doesnt get like it too often though... it comes on when it is just under the empty
Could just be the bulb! It might be just a blown bulb. I have had to replace a couple of the warning/caution light bulbs. I don't have my manual with me, but I think there is a way to check that the light is functioning during startup.
Not totally sure but my car when it had a L2 dash fitted didnt have any lamp when that lit when the fuel got near empty even though there was a idiot light symbol on the dash for it but it did have a low series bcm and it is a vr exect. The speed alert makes a beeping noise if you have one fitted . My car now has a L3 dash so it has all the bells and whistles
VS Facts Hi again, The VR and VS had the same cluster. My VS S2 Level 2 cluster had a fuel low light that worked. The warning lights are all the same type. However, they are not standard "bayonet" type bulbs.
they are 20mm wedge globes if i remember correcly. Just goto autobarn and ask for some wedge globes for your cluster, they will know the ones.
nah the bulbs for the indicators and such (inc empty light) are not normal wedge base! i am pretty sure of this. the are a tiny wedge bulb but the contacts are little pieces of wire which are soldered to the bases contacts. you need to buy a whole new base and bulb. its a 1 piece unit. the bulbs for the speedo are the 20mm wedge.
They are a wedge base about 20mm all glass. Mines never come on and i would never want to try it. Letting your car run till empty is a perfect way to make all the impurities clog up the filter and reduce your fuel efficiency. Just dont let her run dry.
B4 u go assuming its just a globe, does your fuel alert make a beeping noise? Mine makes the noise then the light comes on, if your getting the noise but not the light, then yes id say it a globe, however if your not getting the noise or the light, it could be the fuel sensor in your tank or something
haha i was thinking the same thing, everyone is jumping on the globe bandwagon, in my car the globe is fine but the speed alert just stopped working one day, i found out when my car ran dry, i thought i was fine cause the light hadnt come on, i have a speed alert and it doesnt work either, i dunno why it stopped probably a repocussion of pulling my car apart and putting it back together to many times haha
