Why is my vx taking so much petrol?

you can pick up a kit of rotors and pads for like $250-300.

I have also filled the petrol empty to full, it took $60, so i will let you know how many kilometers it does till empty

Yep sounds like warped rotors,with the price of new rotors i wouldnt get them machined, just get new ones.

+1 for that. found that out after the local shop charged me $550 for new pads and machining. i could of got a new kit of ebay with rotors and GT pads for less then that, lol

Just watch the rotors and pads on ebay i got a set of ebay a few months back for $265 they were only good for 2 months of normal driving then the same problem shaking steering wheel took it to get looked at the rotors had small cracks in them the guy told me he has been geitng a lot of that happening from the (cheap sets) ended up having to get it all redone cost me over$400

I think the VX v6 gives amazing fuel consumption and am amazed just how good it is, I'm wowed by its performance around town and even more on the highway.

how hard are you driving? ie taking off from the lights,is it just a casual taking off or are you putting your foot down to beat the other traffic?

just read you only put $60 in to fill it up. at todays prices should be closer to 80. maybe just the fuel gauge out of wack
