VE had 17-inch wheels in the range. VF goes from 16 in Evoke to 18 in SV6 or Calais.
One reason I heard was that ESC has to be tweaked for each model. But Holden already offer 4 FE? different suspensions.
Or are they just limiting choice to cut costs?

Brake sizing more than likely.

Too many
Costs/Brake sizing also the VE had the berlina that fitted into the mix too which the VF range doesn't which is where the 17's were fitted for memory. And 17's on a 'Sports' model (SV6/SS) would extremely small with the VF's massive arches.

I'd say the 17s just didn't "fit" into the model line up (ie sport and luxury models started with 18s and the base Evoke could be sold with 16s)

ya mum!
VE Calais came with 17s. I'm surprised they still sell 16s tbh. Would have thought the Evoke would have 17s.

The fleet operators do not like large wheel so this likely to be reason and cheaper cost for the 16 on the evoke. Also smaller wheels tyres cost less and they are also more durable and ride better.
