they won't use VA because apparently the VA was the original commodore concept, a VB with twin headlights
heres a pic:
interesting, also the model designation VA(as a production model) was used in NZ only, i believe, to use up leftover front end parts from the VH on the last of the VKs before the VL came through. I was working at a Christchurch Holden dealership at the time and actually worked on one, nothing special...

They wont use VD because its such a widely known abbreviation for Venereal Disease (a sexually transmitted disease.. It'd be like calling it the STD commodore).

And yet Ford called their euro performance line "ST"

Ask your missus what ST means.
