i had a look at the compatibility list and for holdens they have this list

looking at the version on my 2018 rs i have version IP35.2.7 which is second from the bottom of the list so with any luck it works well.

Just some caution on this compatability list... I'm pretty confident that I'm responsible for a couple of those entries - as I am able to establish a connection between my phone and the car using the AAWireless dongle. However, on the ZB, the connection success is intermittent.... On my MY20 Astra (pretty confident one of the MY20 myHolden entries would be my Astra) I get a connection - audio works fine - but I cant display the video on the car at all.

Do you mean video like a movie android auto should prevent that by default.

Or is it the app ui not being displayed.

App UI not displayed. Android Auto button on the car screen is greyed out, even whilst playing audio via AA

Damn, i hope it can be fixed in the software and it is not a hardware issue.

Well I had the day off today, so spent some time playing..... I changed the USB mode from MTP to Direct in the AAWireless app, and for the first time, I got video output on the Astra I disconnected and reconnected several times and got a connection each time.

I've tried this mode before - so I have no idea what's changed and why it's working now!!

When my wife gets home with the ZB, I'll try changing the USB mode on the second AAWireless device and see if makes the connection more reliable there too!

I have read of some usb cable issues and different cables have fixed it , but if your unsure @stooge they do offer a refund up until your contribution is locked i think , but even if you have to resell ive seen a guy in US get over $200US on ebay

I dont mind about the money, i used crypto to pay for it so it was pretty much free.

OK i got mine installed and found that the usb plug is a bit loose in the usb socket and if lightly moved will disconnect
