OK. im up for buying 19inch rims+tyres, im going to be on my P's. I jst want to

kno weather any-one has been approched, or busted by the police.

And if so what happpens after this? Do u get fined, and do u have to remove

them....etc,,, wats the potentiol risk of having 19inch rims on my VT/?

also i have heard that 19inch on a vt is a problem, u need to somehow stretch the inside of the car, the coils or sumthing?any 1 heard of this?

some people have been busted others havent.
the rule is something like only allowed to go 2" bigger than the particular model came standard. eg: VT exec came on 15" steel therefore 17" biggest.
the tyre placard on the inside of the drivers door will tell you what your car came with originally from holden.

even though mine is an exec it came from factory with 17" therefore the tyre placard is for 17" wheels.

you can buy a tyre placard and replace yours which probably trick most cops.

some ppl have problems when they put big rims and lower it quite alot and then they need to get the "guards rolled" at the rear.

The problem with this trick is i am almost sure it could almost lead to fraud charges if there was an asshole enough copper?

19' on VT's sit fine, i never once had a problem with mine, i just decided i preferred 18's, seem tor ide a little better. Being a Pplater it will also draw more attention from mr plod to you also :) Oh and wannabe wheel thief's

I got pulled over the other night with on my VXII S-Pack:
19 inch rims (illegal)
Neons (Legal the way i have them installed but cops r pricks)
Lowered with SSSL rear and SL front (so so illegal!)

The cop was really more interested about what i had under my bonnet than with the other stuff...
He asked about when i got the neons installed and that was about it.

So, if ur not driving like a dick, don't mouth off or give attitude to the copper he will let it fly.
Probably depends on the copper too!

Ohh, jst a point...
I needed my LHS rear guard rolled to tuck the 19x8 roh rims under my car...
but it also really low...

Other people get other rims with different offsets and are fine..

springs - 250
4 point camber kit - 400
you probably won't need them but shorten shocks will set u back qa couple hundred if u get them...
The prices i gave are not including fitting...n approximates
Different places charge different for labour n parts so shop around...

Try and avoid major chains like BOB JANE, TYREPOWER, etc...
The guy i talked to in frankston bob jane didn't know **** about anything..

Good luck!
