Very quick question, but I can't seem to find an answer anywhere.

VF steering wheels are seemingly dime a dozen compared to VE ones, and the leather on mine has **** itself.

I have all the controls, airbag etc. Wondering if I can simply transplant the wheel itself and install my controls over the top.

I wouldn't make a thread but I really can't find an answer, and if the VF one fits I'm looking at saving $100 :)

Did you find out for sure if it fit or not?

You can have your VE wheel recovered.

I can be the 3rd person in the thread to say, “No! It doesn’t fit”

Just out of curiosity will it fit with some sort of modification? Obviously it’s not going to bolt straight on but surely someone out there has modified things to make it all work?

I have never tried it it but i read on another Forum a couple of years ago its the electronics/switches/wiring/airbag etc,not worth wasting time on as who knows what the VF Engineers changed.
Plenty of new VE S/wheels around if you think the $ are worth it or get a pristine 2nd hand one.

It’s doable but how deep down the steering column rabbit hole do you want to go?
156hrs, & $12910 later, you ha e a Vf steering wheel in a VE.
