Chevrolet Lumina Coupe S (Monaro CV6)
I live in Abu Dhabi, where the Monaro was sold as a Chevrolet Lumina Coupe but it is basically just a LHD Holden (same goes for the Commodore, sold as Lumina saloon).

My 2004 LumiNaro's LCD display on the instrument cluster has bled out and is unreadable now, thanks to heat damage. Spares are essentially unobtainable here so I was wondering if I could fit the complete instrument cluster out of a Commodore or could I transplant the LCD panel only.

I'm pretty much limited to buying mail order from Oz via ebay/other internet vendor, so would like to be reasonable sure before I spend my money and wait a long time for delivery.

My car is a 2004 3.8 V6 auto, all gauges in KM and Litres, and has a single LCD screen in the bottom centre of the cluster. Thanks in advance

If you could post a picture of your cluster it would help.

It looks most like a VY cluster, although some have the single window like this and others seem to have 3 LCDs - one in the centre, and another under each of the the fuel and temperature gauges

I'm going to say the Monaro V2 cluster won't fit, it's the same as a VT/VX cluster in shape, whereas yours is the same as a VY cluster, squarer at both ends

you need a later model as above, V2 was VX era, you want VY or maybe VZ.

If you want the best match I would look at Calais not Commodore. The Monaro electrics are based off the higher level cars.

Someone else should be able to give you an exact match.

My info is based off me owning a V2 btw which is a 2002 model.

2004 was a different series.

Just to be clear - my car is a Monaro, essentially, just badged Lumina. The cluster in the photo is the one in the car.

The picture you posted is the same as a VY cluster. My research indicates that a Monaro V2 cluster is the same as a VT/VX cluster, a different shape to the VY cluster. You need a VY cluster.

I've got a reconditioned VZ cluster on its way to me, as well as a second hand VY unit - hopefully one of them will be ok :)
