hey i have a vt with a blown motor that i got for cheap, was just wounderin if a vs v6 will go straight into it as ive worked it?? :idea3: yay or nay???

ive read on here that you cant put a motor from an older car into a newer car, altho it is the same motor they could work it out with ur engine number. but by looking at it i dont think u would even no. altho i might be wrong. someone will correct me if im wrong tho

yer thats wat i was thinking, there the same motor and everythink else seams to be the same. mite have to drop it out and drop the vs into it and see how i go. also i have a 5spd out of the same vs would i have to do there as the vt is auto. computer and wiring and pedals is all i could think of

You will have to change your inlet manifold over as the VT's have a EGR valve and also only a Temp sender and sensor in one. Apart from that its just a drag out and drop in :)

Tailshaft wont be a problem because he wont need to change the gearbox. Easier to change the Manifold then block off the egr because you would have to block it off at the exhaust as well.

Depends on how well you are with metal and welding I guess.
