    G'day,

Just bought a VS Statesman with the Supercharged 6 in it..

Is there a quick and easy way that I can wind up the boost? Also what does it run standard (just curious)

I have a tubo background, but I honestly know jack schit about Superchargers. I can't seem to find sweet fa either about this motor in this car (just generally)

I know it's never a good thing to do this to a stock donk, but I'm bored.. :b: till I can find cash to make some real mods.

    Cheers,
    fatterthanyamumma.

the only thin i know is to buy a pully upgrade.... cheapiish..... i think its 6psi stock.... dont quote me..... i have a mate with one and he is fitting a 10psi pully to his... i wouldnt go any more boost without doing stuff to the engine though.... nasty things can happen

The L67 (SCEcotec) engine is quite strong in standard form of handling high boost, i have seen those engines put out over 400hp with stock internals by upping the boost and using bigger injectors with a good tune and have been very reliable. The stock boost is 5-6psi i think fits pulley upgrade is $700 for 14psi which will give you at least 200rwkw
Iam pretty sure the standard injectors on those engines are good for about 350hp.

If you know about turbos than SC's arnt that much different, boost in ur engine is boost regardless where it comes from the main difference is the setup.

And dont get mixed up with the NA Ecotec engine as its totaly different and wont handle as much in standard form as the SC version.

The guys at F.I.T. are awesome at answering all your questions I have asked them about 17 billion dumb questions and I have received answers to all of them
the best bang per buck for a standard supercharged V6 is to install F.I.T.'s 10 PSI pulley kit and 1.9:1 high ratio roller rockers which should push the power up to around 200-210 rear wheel horsepower!
you can intercool the engine and make around 30-40 extra rear wheel horsepower also
the standard fuel system is good for 290-295 and maybe 300 rear wheel horsepower and a single 3" exhaust from the cats back and a pair of pacemaker extractors with 1 5/8 primaries will be good for the same power figure
but after the big 300 figure then you need bigger injectors and twin 2 1/2" exhaust
and the chosen method of tuning is with the kalmaker tuning gear which would cost about $950 for a full dyno realtime tune
