window frame rattleing

    hey guys, ive got a vs ute and have installed 4 new alpine type r speakers an amp and a head unit, 2 speakers in the doors and 2 up on the parcel shelf thingo, but im have problems with when the bass hits the window frame inside the door rattles like a mother ####er and completely ruins the whole thing, anyone had this problem or know how to fix it, ive tried everything i could think of

    ive tried lubeing up the sliders and putting foam where ever possible, its not much but cant think of anything else

    Get some dynamat and stick it to the spots that rattle.

    Are you completely sure it's the window frame? I know the lock mechanisms (plus all the bars connecting handles to locks, etc.) loosen up over the years and cause all sorts of rattles

    yeah could be that aswell i spose, any solution ill just do them all haha so sick of it

    You need to do this. What you think is window frame rattle is more likely to be panel resonance.

    I done this to my VP wagon, with Soundstream Deathmat. Doesn't stick too well so will be ripping it off and using Dynamat
    Made a MASSIVE difference.
    No rattles + better sound from my speakers = winning :D
