VS V8 Manual
Regarding the debate on the start menu, before reading this thread I was a big supporter of the start menu, now I realise I only use the start menu for the search bar and start typing in the program/file I want, I don't even use the list.

presuming on desktop.. just press the windows button on keyboard, then start typing.. no need to go to the search on the right hand side..

startisback was a cheap add-on for windows 8..

Yup! And that's the problem with Windows 8, and then 8.1. People were just so conditioned to have something how it was that when it changed, "most people cursed[sic] and hated[sic] it". Yup! Myself included. And then after I actually realised just how irrelevant the start menu is, I grew to love it. Really, the start menu and start screen are both irrelevant. All people need is a place to launch apps from and a reliable search.

I admit I was stuck in my ways. The start menu has always been there, IT MUST STAY THERE!

I have now got windows 10 on my tablet, and I do like the start menu still, but now its for the tiles, I can just put all my regular programs on the tiles in the start menu and bam, done. Thats easier because it saves me having to open the keyboard, which is a pain in the arse.

Microsoft aint going broke any time soon.

They also changed how CAL's work as well. More expensive to essentially do the same thing as before.

Also Exchange on premise licensing is messed up too.

All good here. I didn't mind 8.1 once I got used to it. This seems to be a evolution in the right direction. Everything so far seems to work.
