Does the aux give better sound than bluetooth do you know? I assume it would but not sure.

I think the 2nd app thing should be easy to test. Once you have waze up and running, can you open anything else on the phone at all, or is essentially screen mirroring? (I've never had Android Auto/Carplay so don't actually know how it works)

I got it with the aux as i read somewhere you needed that to do firmware updates so though i may as well get it, sound is fine for me taking calls etc.

I tried the 2nd app thing, and yeh it works fine.

Hey…been reading this thread, just picked up a nice VFII ute, and am also in Qld. Did you end up going ahead, and how did it go for you?

if you are talking about installing it yourself, it's actually not to hard, everything come sout pretty straight forward and the diagram shows you what to plug stuff into.

My advice would be try watch a few youtube videos first, i guess the trickest part is were you will put the box, i put mine ontop of the glovebox like it shows in lots of youtube videos and what others have done.

I also got a trim removal kit from amazon, so that i was using platic tools to remove trim and less chance of scratching anything and have an old towel handy to rest the old unit on when pulling it out so it doesn't scratch anything.

If you want a preview of how it goes, I found this Kayhan video really helpful. It is almost an identical step-by-step to what you need for the KSmart box. The only difference might be the cables and connectors.

No display on the HUD but if you are using the USB through MyLink, the song will still display on the HUD.

Guy with great cred sells this for $599 in Perth, $350 more if u want it fitter. Better option for support I think
