G'day lads,

I've got a tricky question for you all.

I've wired up my DRLs using a relay, in line fuse and a in cabin switch. The positive wires from the switch and relay have been hooked up directly to the battery and same goes for the negative wires from the switch and relay.

When the car is off, I can switch the DRLs in and off fine however when I go to start the car or switch on the DRLs when the car is started, my in line fuse blows.

Can anyone figure out what is wrong with my wiring? What has me stumped is that the problem only occurs when the car is started or running. When the ca is off the lights turn in and off fine without blowing a fuse.

Please help cos I'm baffled
Thanks

Sounds interesting.
Post up a picture of your wiring.....as in a diagram.
It's not necessary to have the + and - to the switch.
In line with the + or - will do (see below).

If you noticed, I haven't put a fuse in the diagram.
My mistake.
This picture was edited from another diagram and I forgot to put it back in.
Put it on the positive wire, inline between the the battery and the relay.
