Hey guys, I just bought a Sony Xplod 12 1000watt sup + 800watt amp off ebay for $105. I dont wanna spend $100 to get it put in so i figured i would just do it myself. I put my CD player in no worries so im hoping with a bit of help from you guys i wont have too many problems wiring my amp up.

Ok i have just bought a 8 gauge wiring kit off ebay also. They all should be arriving in a few days. So i know how to get to the cd player but thats about it. If you guys could give me some tits on how to run the cables etc to my boot, and anything else i need to know that would be great. Also i want to hook my 6x9's up to my amp also.

Thanks in advance

Rofl

Seriously though Peasant, you need to run the power cable to the boot through the firewall and under the sill cover panels. You must fuse the power lead, with a suitable fuse, as close to the battery as possible. If your car is an auto it will have a grommet installed were the clutch master cylinder fits on manuals. This is a good place to feed the power cable through, then down the right hand side sill. Not sure about others on the VS. The negative wire from the amp should be grounded close to the amp.

Run the RCAs and remote wire from the HU to the boot on the other side of the car to avoid any possible interference.

Have fun.
