Fixed a problem with this the other night. Since we bought it the electrical system was weird.. all lights flickering constantly. I put it down as most likely a crapped alternator. New alternator from Holden only took <2hrs to fit in the driveway in the dark - bonus Problem solved. Even seems to have cured the gentle misfire on idle (must have been electric-related). Happy now
Yep, did it myself (mrs helped ) Going to have to get the codes pulled for an engine light that comes on after a few minutes idling and then goes away once the car is moving again.... weird
Looks awesome. Old wheels look shithouse. I can see where you are going with the new white rims, but if you were just sticking with a clean cruiser, nothing over the top, I'd still be sticking to something genuine HSV to keep the clean look. Just my 2c
I like it. Not sure about adding white wheels though - unless you wear white leather shoes and white pants as well whilst driving it  Reaper
Been having some issues with sluggishness and terrible fuel economy lately... combine that with almost 200,000km on the clock and it just screamed oxygen sensors Changed them out tonight and it runs beautifully. Success! Gave her a new fuel filter the other night too, just because. Cut open the old one; it was filthy!! I think some new highflow cats may be next on the list as the current ones sound like they have collapsed fairly badly. Should hopefully sort out the shitty exhaust note.
After leaving this car garage-bound for the better part of a full year, I've decided it's time to get it back on the road and start actually advertising it. To that end, I thought it was time to get some decent photos! Went for a little drive today and of course it started raining so the car got a little dirty again... still, better than nothing!
the white starcorps look fantastic in the photoshop, im with Hozy on this one. So boss. Always had a soft spot for these
If I were to change the wheels it'd be black rim, white dish... and a self levelling airbag setup to complete the package. Unfortunately that's about $6-7k I'd never get back from the car when I sell it so I don't realistically see it happening since it's pretty much time for me to let this go to a new owner.
Out with the old.... ... and in with the new! Also threw in some new sway links while I was at it, and a particular eye will spot the sneaky paint job on the outer caliper section, whatever that's called ... it makes Holden/HSV brakes look a lot bigger if you paint those.
