Yes I know it has been covered before for the dreaded VZ fuel gauge issues but I need an answer from someone who has had the same issue and had it fixed.
My 2005 WL Stato, 5.7 litre got low on fuel one day and after filling it the fuel gauge kept reading zero. I am not talking about the gauge being out a little, I am saying the gauge reads zero and the low fuel warning stays on.
Now before you jump in and give an answer please read all the info below of what has already been tried without success.
- I checked in engineering mode and the needle moves to 1/2 full as it is suppose to.
- I ran a systems check and it shows no errors.
- I replaced the fuel pump relay.
- I checked the fuel pump and sender and the sender did appear loose so I replaced the whole pump module with a new one.
- Disconnect battery to reset ECM.
Please let me know if you had the same issue and how it was fixed.
