Hoping to get some ideas to help try and troubleshoot this one please.
The cruise control works (perfectly) for the first 20 mins of a road trip, then goes completely dead ie no cruise control display at all and stalk totally unresponsive. Only a complete engine restart will reset it, but then it will only work for 5 mins. So I am assuming something to do with car heating up and a switch/wire with faulty contacts?
I asked dealer to look at it last service but because it is technically "intermittent" they drew a blank coming back saying nff. It then failed again on the way home ... sigh ...
Before I go swapping out parts on the hope it fixes it (and potentially wasting money) I was hoping for some advice so as to at least narrow it down a bit.
