wm statesman 2006 head unit removal

i have purchased a wm statesman 2006 model and i want to remove the head unit to upgrade the sound system, what to u have to undo to remove the lcd headunit ??

I doubt you could remove it all together because it operates the climate control and everything else associated with the LCD. I'd say you would have to mount it elsewhere or get some low level outputs for the factory unit.

glove box out
bothe left and right lower front trims beside unit
aerial on left side
clamp type connector right side
four ten mm on front of radio

= no hvac

Also equals no climate control, no park assist and no GPS if fitted.

also no replacement but can upgrade with amps and speakers as i did with rockford system

WM Radio Unit in VE Berlina

I understand that this thread is over a month old.

Currently have changed all of the pplastics in my MY07 Berlina to Calais silver, last thing to do is the radio. Found an WM Statemans one on eBay. Has anybody managed to fit one of these to a VE?
Already have the plastic surround from Holden but quickly stipped the dash and centre consol down and it appears I'll be short of some screw holes.

Any assistance would be great.
