[NSW] Won't start first time

Hi everyone I'm new here and new to holdens in general however I have a problem with my new car. I currently own a 2010 gts 325. When I goto start it doesn't seem to start first time. There's nothing no noise just silence. I'll turn the car off then turn the key again and it starts the second time. Is there a setting or issue with the car that I'll need to fix.
Please use lamans terms as I'm not mechanically minded but hey I'm learning. Thankyou
