VE SV6 Sedan
Hey guys,

Just after some pointers, ideas and general knowledge on the SV6 SiDi
I currently own a DEC 09 Manual Sedan...

I'm curious as to what power/performance upgrades are actually available at the moment for the SiDi
Forced Induction is apparently too painful at present (shame, was really looking forward to a Supercharger)
The only other things I have heard of are OTR CAI, Full exhaust, possible brake upgrade...

I'm not very mechanically minded, but are there other upgrades out there inline with what's available for the V8 ie diff ratio's, cam packages, short shifters

Cheers in advance

As you stated yourself, forced is out or now, but watch Mace Engineering in the sponsors forum, they are currently working on cams for the sidi VE's. They also do mail order tunes for the sidi motors. You can get Otrcai or just a cai (couple of options there), diff is easy either just internals or complete replacements, same with exhaust and brakes, and short shifters are available, again a few options there to. Unfortunately that's about it or now. So just watch the mace forum in sponsors they are doing a lot with ve developments.

Mods for the 3.6L SIDI are,

Tune (few people do them now, in particular Mace Engineering)
Manifold Insulators (Mace Engineering)
Under Drive Pulley kit
CAI
VCM/Mace OTR (coming soon)
Orrsome OTR
Full Exhaust systems (Pacemaker and xforce do full systems, there are other brands though)
As previously said, Mace is soon to release cams
Brakes are simple, loads to pick from
Diff upgrades etc

Can all those upgrade be applied to a 2011 VE Series II SV6 in auto?

All those mods can be done to the series 2 SV6, including the diff.
Some of those mods can't be done to the 2012 SV6 with the LFX motor, the mods that can't be done to this motor are extractors (as they're in the head) and I don't think the manifold insulators fit.

Sums it up well :)

Why not diff? The shift points can be altered with the tune.

Thats what I meant, no need to do a diff swap. Bigjim had the shift points altered and is very happy with it.

I love the 3.7 diff...works brilliantly with the auto box. I start everywhere in second gear and the car pulls from 0-95km/h in second gear in well under 7 seconds. I reckon it's an excellent mod and the auto box tune just gives you a little more flexibility and an ability to reduce the torque management mechanisms.
