Hey peeps

Just want some advice my vt has been off the road for almost eight months getting the engine / gearbox rebuilt. Iam almost at start up stage in the next few days but am worried about stale fuel from the tank, should I drain the tank or will it be ok to just put some octane booster in with first refill?

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards

Just one thing on draining the fuel tank:
After my car got the engine modified,(it had been at the mechanics a fair while) he drained the tank by
disconnecting the fuel line in the engine bay and he then connected a length of hose to the fuel line.
He then bridged the fuel pump relay and turned the ignition to on and emptied the tank into a container.
He said all it would be good for is the lawn mower and he was right. I had about 20 litres of fuel for it and it ran like a dream.
