market share has dropped to a new low, only one new holden being sold out of every twenty new car sales from other imported manufactures

If you read the articles the party line from Holden is that "we're not worried we have the strongest product ever 20 new vehicles or whatever" - obviously this is the spokesperson media guy but I truly wonder if there are people that have drunk the coolade and believe that.

Abandoning the community it built up spruiking reliability, Aussie built, local hero and then turning around and branding us out of touch bogans coz metrosexual hipsters don’t share the same values... about as stupid as you can get in my view.
So many years of ‘brand equity’ and customer loyalty totally flushed down the toilet, competing for the millennial money (young dumb broke high school kids).
I would have at least asked what milkshakes bring mature cashed up bogans to the yard, let the Commie die, and pleasure the super bogan market a while longer myself.

General Motors frankly doesn’t care, and it was General Motors which was allowing the strange foreign not-American operation to continue until 2017.

Don't write them off just yet. If the cars are good, priced right, with strong after sales service and marketed effectively, they will come back. Not to where they once were, but, they'll be competitive.
Of couse, it will take time and some cultural change both internally, and at the dealerships.
It will be interesting to watch what happems over the coming months and years. IF the company lasts that long.

None of their current models are market leaders in any way...
Marketplace is flooded with good established and proven options for small cars, medium cars and suv.. Mostly from Japan..
Holden stands no chance..
