Interesting option being considered to encourage uptake of electric vehicles in the UK by taxing buyers of new ICE cars...

UK EV buyers already gets a government subsidy, but has dropped and is presumably getting expensive.

I don't agree with subsidising vehicle purchases in any form, especially via taxation however there are thousands of vehicles on Australia's roads right now that are heavily subsidised by Australian tax payers.
