Yeah dude, replace all the studs. I broke and replaced 4 exhaust studs before I decided to replace then all. It was $26 for 12 studs at repco, just studs lol
I trust my tuner to do the right thing I'm sure he can sort it. Other wise it's 250 plus for the good stuff. Luckily the exhaust gasket isn't a crush gasket so can be reused.
Turbo sent. Now to wait 16 days for it to arrive. Have insurance on the full purchase price. Can't wait. Had to take off waste gate actuator and rotate the compressor housing but that's easy stuff.
Picked up a set of front and rear bars and a new ignition barrel for $110. Little scuff marks here and there but the front spoiler isn't cracked just a few scratches. Rear bar is straight some how (spoiler boot etc all damaged however bar is fine) Guy just bought his MX 6 and turns out he is 2 minutes down the road and got the wreck with it.
Factory is 6-7 psi. This Garrett I have no idea. Probably the same. Won't matter as I'm going to be pushing for 28psi.
Plenty of others have done it without issue? Like I said though I have no idea what the actuator is set for on the new turbo.
Well change of mind. Added up the costs of getting every thing done and yeah scary stuff. Will be looking to offload this soon. Will probably sell all the performance gear I have or hope some one will straight trade with the parts.
At the end of the day it will always be a FWD that's really my biggest problem. It's a fun car sure but worth spending close to 5k on. Yeah pass.
New tail lights. Straight swap with a guy down the road. Drivers side is cracked but you can get new lights for 70 bucks. Garnish is impossible to find.
Also fixed drives side front tyre. Previous numpty tyre fitter didn't bother to do the bead properly thus it was leaking pretty bad.
If I can get it all installed for cheap then yeah but 4k plus is not on. Dump pipe should be here this week will try get it fitted on the weekend. Just wish I was more mechanically minded and had the tools. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
Start chatting to people. Get some advice and such. Buy a half decent set of tools Do the job yourself and you'll probably only pay half that. Including the tools.
