They are S13. I need new headlights as well as the stock ones are shocking. Wish I had the skill to make my own projectors.

Was thinking way too much into getting the old rusty bolts out so had to switch thinking for a second.

Well so much for that. Exhaust gasket is leaking. Studs are about to break by the looks as they are so rusted. So yeah at this point I'm well and truly over it. I just spent nearly 500 on a turbo that can be bolted onto the factory turbo to find the manifold itself is bad and needs to be thrown in the bin. Also 250 on a dump pipe I don't really need. Also found numerous oil leaks while I was under it yesterday. Still going to the auto leccys this afternoon just to fix the 4ws transducer cable and relay. If I can get to the bottom of the blinky lights issue would be good as well.

    Edit:
Oh and we snapped the o2 sensor cable. Was bodgy anyway. Drove it today not connected. No difference so yeah think it was screwed.

blinky lights is the headlight switch on the stalk?

My old mazda 929 did that needed the headlight switch rebuilt cost me about 60 at the sparkies. the sparky picked it up straight away use to make all my dash lights flicker and my tail lights not work.

Whats wrong with manifold unless its cracked it'll be fine. your always going to get leaks and ####ed studs on turbo cast iron manifolds with alloy heads its just parts of the game even new x6rt still have manifold leaks.

Just replace all the studs soak in wd40 and buy a good stud remover f2 are easy to get out you'd be in trouble if you had an FE or F8 trust i've worked on hundreds of these heads

I'm just sick of finding problems. I know it's an old car an all but for once I would like to go oh wow that's awesome instead of oh **** more work. Here's the list to get the Mazda at least to a resonable level.

    Clutch slave cylinder leaking.
Oil leak coming from gearbox shifter linkage.
Oil leak from oil filter housing.
Exhaust studs about to fail and all need replacing.
Exhaust manifold casting is cracking off and requiring replacing.
    Clutch has had it.
    Throw out bearing noisy.
Synchros in gearbox on way out. Screeches in gear.
    Dimming lights.
Suspension all worn and needing replacement soon.
Shock absorbers most likely blown or not working with the lowered springs.
Brakes are sub par at best. More then likely needs new rotors and pads.

From the sounds of things you should probably go back to the blow torch idea, except focus it on the interior and walk away, (instead of the exhaust studs)

    Should by yourself a V8 instead. ;)

Just kidding, one by one and you will get through it all.

Turbo is boring. Supercharger is where it's at. Only 10k plus cost of vehicle. Bargain.

10k for a charger setup??? you could do a decent turbo one for less than that'll and i know which would be more fun make more power and torque.

My business would be booming if i had ####s that gave me 10k to turbo cars...
