A phobia is a fear of something. So, an Islamaphobe is a person who fears Islam, I guess. But in our society, a phobia becomes a hatred, hence Islamaphobes are Islam-haters, by your book? Well, given that we westerners are "infidels", or non-believers, and the Koran has passages that relate to the killing of infidels by any means possible, are not certain elements of the Islamic faith "Western-phobes", who have an equal or even more pronounced hatred of the west? My point is this. We didn't declare war on the more violent elements of Islam, but they sure have declared war on us. Intelligent members of this forum, those who can string a few coherent, cohesive and logical sentences together, don't hate Muslims. They possibly despair of those elements of Islam who carry out their violence in the name of their god, but realise that these idiots are not representative of Muslims in general. However, they probably, like me, find it difficult to accept the claims of Islam that it is a "peaceful" religion.
That's your response? Lol. I don't know why I bother with the Internets (arguably) biggest bigot, who knows everything. Everyone is either naive or misunderstood you right Raj? You do realise that one of the biggest wars in the worlds modern history killed more than 60m people, had nothing to do with Islam aside Hitlers sympathy to a common goal and some nationalist fighters right? It was between faithful Christians. My grandfather was taught to hate 'Huns, Jerrys, Krauts and Gooks' (my sincerest apologies to those I've offended) and that the only good one is a dead one from childhood. My great grandmother was a Nazi from childhood and taught to hate 'vermin'. It was the propaganda norm back then. Given that Islam makes up nearly a 1/4 of the worlds population and the world is a very small place now, you've allowed your opinion to become skewed. You and your girlfriend who wrote that article are no different in thought process to extremists of any faith. I'll just leave this here Rajesh Bigotrappali:
NZ news seemed to show a lot of shots, a short pause and then more shots and that was less than 30 seconds of what took minutes to occur.
I give up and feel sorry for people that just don't get it, or refuse to learn from people who speak the truth. They're going to wake up one day with a great big I TOLD YOU SO or end up dead at the hands of those they defend. Denial is not a river in Africa.
Wow, what a fluffing quitter. Good luck with your cause mate, I'm going to continue defending good people regardless of denomination from small minded bigots like you if that's okay. Good people deserve that. Hope I don't wake up dead, lol.
The Japs will still not admit to all the atrocities committed in the name of the emperor, at least the Germans have. Do I hate all Muslims, no but I have a certain distrust of the faith and it's teaching just like I do with most other religions, no bias here
And which continent is Egypt on? Since the Nile flows through Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan, Sudan and Egypt, it's actually more appropriate to just say Africa. Um, no - I understand the workings of the real world and not your fantasy land. I know the real situation and the scary path narrow minded people want to take us down with regards to sympathising with extremists. Sorry man, it's sad there's people that think the way you and POLLUTION do.
Lol, did you just spell my handle wrong when it's blatantly on screen in front of your majestic intellect and foresight in a multitude of places? Haha, I see what you did there. You're ability to respond is so piss weak you inferred I'm a terrorist sympathiser for defending people who choose Islam as their faith. It's like you're some sort of ADL rep.
If the shoe fits! If you don't think this can happen here, you're either hopelessly naive or just a fool!
Is it sad to show tolerance towards others ? , is it sad to show respect for others belief's, is it sad to forgive , come on Raj , this is the 21st century , I think you'll find a lot more people think the same way as , Pollution , Gopher , and myself do .
I think it's sad so many people don't understand the purpose of Islam is to destroy anything/anyone not Islam.
The difference is , that I totally respect your view , and your right to voice it . As-Salaam - Alaikum
That is right, anybody has the right to voice their opinion, however when jihad is initiated that is doing a lot more than just voicing an opinion and we as the infidel should be able to defend ourselves. I think they issue here is in this modern day religion is still been used to justify barbaric acts of violence. Most religions, however stubborn are seeing the light (it's time the Catholic church accepts contraception for what it is) and don't go around advocating the killing of non-believers. Islam on the other hand still seems to embrace this. Just look at the number of so called honour killings. It's totally barbaric and unjust yet acceptable in their religion and a practice that is still widely carried out even though it's officially outlawed or at least frowned upon by many governments of Islamic countries. I can't figure it out TBH, if Islamic woman aren't allow to show flesh to any man (except once married) let alone screw around where are the Islamic men going to get laid (as it seems it's acceptable to do) other than sodomising other boys/men? I am happy to be tolerant of others but only if I get the same in return and which is many cases doesn't happen. IT comes back to the time honoured saying/argument, "when visiting Rome, do as the Romans do". If I was to visit an Islamic country I would be happy to abide by their rules and practices so when they come to our Countries they should do the same. It is however very clear that those of Islam that immigrate to western societies do not integrate well if at all. Many never learn to speak the local lingo. They tend to keep to themselves etc which is fine, however when they then expect us to bow to their ways that is one step to far.
Exactly , when we arrived here from SA it was , this is how it is in NZ , so our mindset changed , and we adapted , not admittedly hugely , but still I'd rather live here than be in Johannesburg or the Cape , a lot of expats adapt to the life here fairly quickly .
