my parents' car has a whurring noise somewhere around 60, but only in 4th, in 3rd it doesn't do it. at 60 in 4th gear im taking a rough guess, the engine's doing like 1500rpm, somewhere around 1500 i guess, anyway, you'll hear the noise. sit at those revs in any other gear, and there is no whurring sound
