So, about 16,000 klms after install of a full Xforce system with varex mufflers, I start hearing a rattle in the right hand muffler and find a big chunk of cat flapping around, and the left hand side valve completely stuck shut. Pretty pissed about this crap, warranty claim PITA paperwork still to come. PS: car is stock with a tune and CAI, thats all. WTF Xforce???

Cars
I've seen many fail for various reasons both expensive and cheap brands.

Is the car lowered as they can crack on the inside when you hit a speed hump or pothole.

Unburnt fuel can cause a problem as can regular short drives.

It's stock height, mostly takes me to work 20ks away on the highway. I suspect the tune too given comments on some other forums.

Faark! I have my LSA blower waiting to go on next! My tuner did say that the cats won't handle that.. which has me worried about running cat-less. Is there nothing out there that can handle a bit of increase flow?

Might be better off running ceramic factory type cats then.

i am currently running 100 cells i brought from Motor Torque at Brookvale NSW, they source there own metal cores and then have them made, haven't had a problem since. ( 6000 thousand km's and 4 dyno runs still going strong)

problem is that will limit the boost you can run especially on a ls3 , also i have seen ceramic cat disintegrate and fly out the exhaust after rattling around for a while, also have been told that the broken cat material can be sucked back into the cylinder when backing off not a pretty sight apparently
