I was wondering if anyone has any opinions on or has installed on their car a Varex Muffler that you can control the volume with via the remote control. Are they worth the money???
Was looking at buying just the muffler and having my own Cat back system made to suit for my 5.0l Clubsport.

A mate has one on his VS SIII V8 ute, it sounds like crap at anything other than wide open, like a permanent exhaust flange leak. If you were to go any varex style system, I'd recommend getting the type that goes closer to the engine, to hide the awful fluff noise they create.

Thanks M8. I am having second thoughts and will prob just go cat back system from local exhaust co. Is it worth me keeping the HSV system for a spare (in case i sell the car one day?)

They're definitely worth hanging on to, in case of getting defected more often than not. Just wrap it up in an old oily sheet, it'll stop it from rusting away on you. :)
