Yet another sig thread

Hey guys. new to the forums and was in the middle of updating my sig and avatar. Now the limits set are only 20kb. Now with the pics i done they are below the max dimensions but i cant seem to reduce the filesize to below 20kb. even when i use the lowest quality on the jpegs still too large... i've tried .gif's .png's and just cant get into that bloody limit so yeah any help would be nice.
