Mate those prices are in pounds not aud. Shipping would cost approx $3000 but i don't think you can import something that was sold here.

ZXTC is right.

Taken from carsguide;

While vehicles considered "classic cars" are practically a free-for-all to import, things are very different for later model cars as the federal government imposed restrictions on grey imports in the early 2000s, making the process more involved as a way of protecting the local new-car market. The Specialist and Enthusiast Vehicle Scheme (SEVS) prevented Australians from importing vehicles already on sale in Australia, but allowed us to bring in certain models which were vastly different to the models sold new locally.

IIRC, the SEVS still exists even after the demise of Aussie vehicle manufacture down under :(
Now the government is protecting consumers from themselves as they wont do safety recalls as required :eek:
And vehicleimporters love the restrictions :mad:

They would be rusted out underneath. They salt the roads over there.

Quite correct. I imported my VH in 2001. There where no import fees as the car was over 15 years old. A friend who had spent quite a bit of money on a VT could not because the import fees were prohibitive.
