Post your top 5 who are either dead, retired or broken up. This should be interesting.

    Mine in no particular order:

    Queen (need I say more)
Nirvana (another music legend taken before all of his ideas were exhausted)
Elvis (for the sheer fact of him being an icon)
Pantera (to hear Dimebag shred the fk out of his guitar)
Micheal Jackson (only because my oldies said his stage show was absolutely spectacular)

    The doors (RIP Jim Morrison)
Biggie Smalls (why? Because biggie smalls!!)
Led Zeppelin (to hear those looooooong guitar solos)
Nirvana (love a bit of dirty grunge)

+1 Blink 182 - massive fan of theirs and their humour...also some of the catchiest songs you could even wish to hear.

...I'll get back to you on the other four.

Eg. Their inbetween song rants on stage
    The stupid video clips
The stupid songs that have to do with anything haha love it!

depends on the mood, i love all different types of music... 2 main types though

    Rap:
    Biggie Smalls
    2pac
    Easy E- NWA
    Snoop Dogg
    Ice Cube

    Other:
Nirvana (Sole reason I own a fender mustang, cream with a red tortoise shell pickguard, awwww yeah)
    Pearl Jam
    Iron Maiden
    Black Sabbath
    Zeppelin

Otherwise I am a HUGE neil young fan, got all his albums when i was about 15-16... Also used to muck around a bit in a hardcore/metalcore band, parkway drive, IKTPQ, etc... diverse as.

#1 Slipknot (RIP Paul Gray) although I did see them Live in 2005
#2 The Bleeders (NZ band, they split, and then 2 of them are back with some others musicians as Leeches. And they are just as good)
#3 Blindspott (another NZ band, they split and mostly rejoined, but are now called Blacklistt, and are only 80-90% as good)

    not on the list:
ZZ Top; they were the only reason I attended the Hamilton 400 the other year, I had to see them before they became part of this list.

I'll get back to you with #5 later

Pantera (even if Phil, Vinny & Rex got back together it would never be the same without Dime)
    Hendrix
    Nirvana
    Stevie Ray Vaughn
And lastly, purely coz I reckon his shows would have been pretty awesome and I grew up listening to his music almost every day coz my dad loved him... Elvis Presley

I based mine on bands/artists that are dead.
Led Zeppelin would definitely be on the top of my list and also The Allman Brothers Band, Duane Allman is dead but I really would've liked to see them too
